thease people are amazing they rescue all kinds of animals not just horses and have ridding programs for horses and we transported 26 mustangs that they had been working with and know they are rehoming them and trainning some. we moved them from TX to Ca for them 3 trips in one week it was a big job but they were all so great to work with if you are looking for a place to donate money they are a nonprifit and can always use the help they have somthing like 80 horses and dogs and cats and cows . It is an amazing place.

I can't recommend Tom and Jennifer enough. They gave every consideration to keeping Eddie as comfortable as possible, always putting his well-being first.

They were so forward-thinking with ensuring the best care for him that when they pulled into my dad's place, they unloaded Eddie in a spot where the ramp would be at the least angle possible, so when Eddie walked down the ramp, he had hardly any slope at all.

Really, what more could a person as for than to have strangers put that much thought into keeping him absolutely comfortable!!

If you need a horse transported please give the Shields a call. They are pros and the only haulers I trust to move a horse as important to me as Eddie is. I didn't even get a chance to brag on their pricing--they were incredibly fair with their prices. You'll find their link to the left--give them a shout and you won't be disappointed!

Hello Jennifer and Tom,

First just let me thank you!

My very special Quarter Horse mare 'Suzy' arrived safe and sound last night
and it was a very exciting reunion after all these years apart!
Thank you so much for taking such good care of my special mare. Most older
horses require special attention under normal circumstances, but a
cross-country trip is a delicate process for a 19 year old mare who will be
bred via shipped semen a few days after her arrival!!! She stepped out of
the trailer shiny and bright-eyed and her legs really weren't stocked up at
all. That was amazing considering she is arthritic in her hind hock and has
problems with her front hooves!

She was in good spirits this morning when I went out there to check on her
and the vet checked her this morning says she is cycling and should be ready
to breed sometime next week! She was eating and drinking well and you would
never guess she'd been hauled from California to Iowa in mid-February!
It has been my dream to have a baby out of this very special mare and with
your help I am one step closer to achieving that dream. Once she has her
foal she can spend the rest of her days in gracious retirement. She has
earned it!!!

I told the vet about you and they said they would be happy to recommend you
to their clients as they see a lot of hauled horses every year and don't see
many come in this superior condition even when travelling much shorter
distances. That is saying something as they are a vet clinic, foaling and
mare management facility and stallion station!!!
Thank you warmly once again for bringing Suzy safely to us. We will send
you 'baby pictures' after our foal comes next year.
I've attached a couple of photos of Suzy taken this morning on Tom's
request. I'm sorry about the small flecks on my camera lens. Feel free to
use me as a reference and also to use the photos if you would like to!

Dear Tom & Jennifer,
I just wanted to take the time to thank you so very very much for the outstanding job you did with our Stallion "Hustlers Fabulous Too". For Eddie to arrive all the way from TX to OR and no swelling of the joints (fused pasterns in the front due to an injury) and completely relaxed and well rested, was far beyond anything I would have ever expected!!!
After all of the horses I have had shipped, for Eddie to have been shipped the farthest and arriving in the best condition... I will be using Double Bar T Transport for ALL of my transporting needs, THANK YOU!

Dave and I just want to thank you again for bring our horse safely through the storms. We had a vet look at leg that had been kicked before you picked him up, and the vet gave him some antibiotic, and cleaned it up real good. It is healing great. Thanks for taking special care with Jack and doctoring his leg. We have been ridding every day. If you would like to use us a reference we would be more than happy. Nothing seems to bother her, even my twit of a thoroughbred. He hasn't seen another horse for a year and a half, and is crazy in love...Thanks for your services! You were very professional and I appreciated all of the updates. C.J. told me that everything was very clean and tidy, and that it looked like you took very good care of the horses. (he told me he offered you 200$ to keep going...he didn't really want her! He has warmed up a bit since he has seen how good of a personality she has)

Your trailer is amazing and Tom is a great driver he was able to get in my narrow road and back in. My horses were in great condition when they arrived. I just wanted to let you know how happy I am with you and Tom. I was nervous about my horse making this trip to Colorado, and as soon as I met Tom and saw the terrific rig that you guys have, all of my worries went away. I had the utmost confidence in Tom, and was right in this opinion. I am sorry about all of terrible weather that he had to go through, but he seems to take everything in stride.
